Humidification
Proper Air Quality is super Important for Comfort and Quality of Life
Why Humidity is Important
In the summertime, we get upset by the high humidity, but in the wintertime, dry air is equally as bad.
Whole-house humidification is the best way to introduce comfortable levels of humidity to the entire home. With a duct-mounted humidifier, your whole duct system will be saturated with an ideal mixture of air and water to deliver the air to all parts of the house.
Ideal humidity is between 25-40% in the air and will result in greater comfort for occupants.
Negative Consequences
Low humidity can make your hands, lips and face feel dry and itchy, and in some cases may lead to cracked skin or bloody noses.
Moisture is able to capture and hold heat, which will make your home feel more warm, leading to reduced heating consumption.
Dry air can also cause cracking of furniture and baseboards, as wood retains some moisture and discrepancies can cause warping or shrinking.
Static electricity may be experienced when you touch light switches or pets, due to the lack of conductivity in the air causing electric charges to build up.
